Hi! These past two weeks in art we were learning about fables in alignment with the Kindergarten curriculum. We learned about and created art around the tortoise and the hate, the dog and his reflection, and the lion and the mouse.

We learned about French artist Henri Matisse. We studied his collages and paintings. We made a snail collage thinking of Matisse's piece "The Snail". We also made our own collages and a coloring sheet of one of his paintings.

In honor of women's history month, this past two weeks we learned about women artists. We studied Georgia O'Keefe, Barbra Kruger, and Judy Chicago. We also recreate some of their art in our centers

We are currently working on floor hockey in PE!

These past two weeks in art we learned about doctors and hospitals in support of the ECE curriculum. We learned that we get sick from germs and then made some in a fun way by blowing paint. We made x rays of our hands and did surgery.
